Founded in 1997 by Aimee Koval and Jim Jurista, Metis Consulting Group (formerly Ravenglass Technologies) is a software development and IT consulting company based in Central New York.
Metis distinguishes itself among IT consultants by combining a robust methodology with targeted, customized products and services. With nearly two decades in the IT industry, our team of experienced leaders and leading-edge developers are adept at analyzing business needs and legacy systems, conceptualizing solutions that accommodate multi-tiered goals and budgets, and building scalable solutions that will adapt and grow to meet clients’ business needs over time.
Metis understands that technology is a tool, not an end in itself. We believe in building relationships: listening and learning about clients’ goals and priorities; gathering requirements from all relevant stakeholders; identifying clear and concise deliverables, timelines, and cost analyses; and providing best practices-supported testing and documentation.
We use Agile-based methodologies to provide clients with transparent, up-to-date and detailed information regarding tasks and time spent on their projects, with a focus on delivering results early and often until projects are complete.
Metis is proud to be a Certified B Corporation®.
B Corporations are leaders of the global movement of people using business as a force for good™. There are more than 2,100 Certified B Corporations from more than 120 industries in 50 countries with 1 unifying goal – to redefine success in business.
B Corps are important because they inspire all businesses to compete not only to be the best in the world, but to be the best for the world.
Certified B Corporations meet higher standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability. It’s like Fair Trade certification but for the whole business, not just a bag of coffee (or USDA Organic certification, but not just for a carton of milk; or LEED certification, but not just for a building).
The performance standards B Corps meet are comprehensive, transparent and verified. They measure a company’s impact on all its stakeholders (e.g. workers, suppliers, community, customers and the environment). Unlike traditional corporations, Certified B Corporations are legally required to consider the impact of their decisions not only on their shareholders, but also on their stakeholders (e.g., workers, suppliers, community, consumers, and the environment).
At Metis, our guiding philosophy is to #bthechange we want to see in the world.
